Each year, the Iowa Specialty Hospital Foundation - Clarion and Iowa Specialty Hospital—Clarion award scholarships to seniors in area high schools who are planning to enter higher education for training in the healthcare field.  Four $500 scholarships are offered to seniors in the school systems of Clarion-Goldfield-Dows, West Hancock, and Eagle Grove, and one $500 scholarship to a senior of an Iowa Specialty Hospital employee. 

Interested seniors may complete the application below or they may contact their high school guidance counselor's office or Jordan Weber with Iowa Specialty Hospital at 515-532-9328 for more information.  When completing the scholarship application below, please upload your essay as well.  

The following are the eligibility requirements for the scholarships:

• Area of study must be a health career.
• High School grade point average must be 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale.
• Applicant must be of good character.
• Applicant must have participated in high school and extracurricular activities.
• Applicant must complete a 200 word essay regarding their choice of study.
