Career Day Program

Program Details

Iowa Specialty Hospitals & Clinics is proud to offer students the opportunity to participate in our Career Day Program to discover their future healthcare field. Career Day is open to students in 11th and12th grades. Participants will have an opportunity to learn more about the following departments: lab, radiology, nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy.

Our fall sessions will take place on November 16, 2023 at the Clarion Campus and on November 17, 2023 at the Belmond Campus.  Both days will run from 9:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.  Lunch will be provided. 

Participant Expectations 

• Follow the HIPAA policy.
• Be respectful to facility, staff, and patients.
• Ask questions and be engaged.
• No cell phone use allowed.  Leave cell phones at school, home, or in vehicle.

Dress Code - Business Casual

• Nice Shirt/Top
• Nice Pants – No jeans or leggings
• Close-toed Shoes

Park in the employee (green) parking lot across the street from the hospital to the east. The ER/Outpatient lot is reserved for patient parking. We will meet you inside the ER entrance. See Clarion Map for details.

1. Complete the registration form below.  Deadline is Friday, October 27, 2023.
2. Download and complete the student consent form.  If you are under 18, it will also require a parent/guardian's signature. Student Consent Form
